HGTV CASE STUDY

For HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams we custom built 3 interiors and 1 exterior space inside our studio to create a warm, cohesive and informative video series with a dozen additional still assets.

FABRICATION

All sets and decor were custom made, built and hand picked for each scene by our team.

Everlast

To showcase the durability of Sherwin Williams’ exterior paint, our team practically recreated four (4) extreme weather conditions inside our studio. We made it rain (literally) and snow. We created icicles and a bright summer day shadows that blew in a gentle breeze. We used dried potato flakes to help recreate the blistery snow.

Samples

We created a living room scene that evokes a natural light feel, even though the lighting was designed using LEDs and a window frame cutout. The goal of the video was to show that paint can look different throughout the day in different types of light.

Door And Trim

For this video we created a living room with french doors leading to a back room. All the sound was crafted after the fact in our Foley studio to give the video a more visceral feel.

Infinity

For this video our team created a front door and entryway. The footsteps, shoes kicking off and other sound effects were added by our foley artists in post.

Vintage Finds

For the props our team set out on a mission to bring an eclectic feel to the scenes. We went to vintage stores and markets to find touches of warmth and charm for each set.

Casting for Diversity

When hiring on screen and behind the scenes talent we have a strong focus on diversity – ensuring our castings are inclusive of all races, ages, abilities, sexualities, genders, and body types.
