Project Information

Pixel Adgency came to us to produce three videos for Canon‘s Selphy printers. The campaign was to showcase the Selphy CP1500 and the Selphy Square QX10 printers and their versatility. We custom designed, built and styled each set to showcase some different uses of the printers; scrapbooking, creating a vision board and framing your pets photos. The project featured 3 main videos,  and 9 still images (3 per video). The project was shot in our studio in 1 day with three separate sets and animators shooting simultaneously.

 

Gear

Each video was shot on Canon’s EOS R5 Mirrorless Camera and the Canon RF 50mm f/1.2 L USM Lenses. Our lights are constant LED’s to ensure the least amount of flicker. All the videos were shot in 8k resolution, so even as we delivered in 4k, we still had plenty of room to crop in during the edit.

Assets

3x main video in 3 aspect ratios (wide, square, vertical) delivered in 4k, HD and Clean files.
9x Still images uncropped (full 3×2) to be used on various platforms (jpeg, png and TIFF).

Total Assets: 54 individual assets delivered.

The Process

The client had already selected the styles they wanted to showcase when they came to us, with basic creative direction. Our team developed the concepts and art direction of each set and hand painted the backgrounds to match the vibe. Props were selected and styled by our team and all images were provided by Canon stock images. Our animators brought to life the scenes with quirky and fun movements along side some creative sound design. We loved working on this campaign.

Distribution

The client used the videos on a variety of platforms, including social and paid media.
