To announce SPG’s new benefits for SPG Amex and MasterCard cardholders in Canada, Japan, UK and UAE, Visual Country created four realistic cinemagraphs that focus on the physical card. Members can earn two Starpoints for every dollar spent at SPG and Marriott Rewards hotels. These videos suggest that members can unlock this offer, whether they are searching for a new Marriott location to visit, they are packing a suitcase, or they are already soaking up the sun on a beach.

Results

SPG achieved an overall Interaction Rate of 9.66%. Over 7,000+ users viewed the video via Instagram and users created a total of 717 engagements.

Our kaleidoscope video and series of stills show that the SPG Amex can be used globally, from Budapest to the Caribbean. All assets were shared organically on social. The stills were featured in a paid Facebook carousel.

We created this whimsical video full of bright colors and paper cutouts to create a sense of urgency around the limited time offer, two free nights at a luxury hotel for new card members. A swimming man shouts “Limited time!” A woman sunbathing shouts “Act now!” A woman with luggage walks by and shouts “Hurry up!” All props in this video were hand illustrated and cut out of paper.
